The Spady Cultural Heritage Museum welcomes a new class of students back to its Black History Study (BHS) Education Program, a 7-month curriculum and immersion program for students in grades 3-12 AND adults.

Following its initial success, which was covered by the Associated Press, the third season of the Black History Education Program will feature an even more interactive and comprehensive experience, created by Brian Knowles, president of Power Builders, LLC.

During the first season, Brian taught an interactive class centered on the seismic impact of hip-hop music; during the second season, he developed an in-depth curriculum, designed to “meet young people where they are,” employing interactive story-telling and technology.

The third season will expand even more — offering opportunities for the public to join the experience with a full schedule of learning for the entire family.
