Dedicated To Empowering Youth Through Knowledge Of Self
The Spady Museum’s Youth Cultural Leadership program encourages youth to learn about their culture and history while expressing themselves through various elements of arts and technology. The program focuses on building self-esteem, cultural identity and social and civic responsibility in youth. The empowerment program provides youth with arts and cultural heritage immersion experiences in Palm Beach County.
“Knowledge of self and practical skills are the building blocks for a well rounded individual. Our program is designed to strengthen self-esteem and educate.”

A New Skill Building Activity
Monthly, youth participate in life skill building sessions…
Textile artist Kianga Jinaki has been carefully and expertly guiding our young ladies through the process of upcycling their old clothes. The process includes discussions about minimizing our impact on the earth. Creativity is key in deciding what to do with each piece and culture is an important factor in this decision. As always, the potential of their skill to earn income is demonstrated and those girls who express interest in the business are mentored and guided in their pursuit.
Your support is greatly appreciated.
